For someone who has worked in the area of taxation for more than 40 years, Mr. Sanjay has become a subject matter expert in the same. He has worked with one of the biggest international accounting firm for more than twenty years where he acted as a tax consultant catering to the different areas pertaining to taxation.
He started his journey as a joint secretary for accounts and taxation for a private sector company. He then worked as a chartered accountant for renowned accounting firm for more than 20 years. Thereafter, he transitioned to working as a tax consultant for an international accounting firm advising on the matters of domestic and international taxation. Currently he works as a partner at Manubhai and Shah LLP channeling his expertise and knowledge.
He has worked with matters relating to Direct Taxes and litigation at the CIT (appeals), Income Tax Appellate Triibunal and Direct Taxes. He has also delivered lectures on topics of professional interest in the Direct Tax Laws for many institutes and associations.
He is a leader and a visionary, having headed organizations through years in the subject matter of taxation and litigation. He has been the president of CAA, and Income Tax Appeallete Tribunal Bar Association, Ahmedabad and a co-opted member of The Fiscal Laws Committee of the ICAI
He is a certified Fellow Chartered Accountant holding a bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
